Every closure on every piece of gear we ship gets tested one-handed, wearing a frozen mitt, by someone who has been awake for at least ten hours. It sounds like a small thing until you’ve actually tried to operate a zipper pull designed by someone who only ever tested it warm, rested, and with two bare hands in a design studio.
This single test has killed more prototype designs than any other single criterion we use.
